About the Author
Nathan P. Butler is a husband, father, educator, author, podcaster, YouTuber, and all around geek.
His fiction work includes Greater Good and Echoes (each set in their own universes and found in this volume) and stories for three existing science fiction universes: Lucasfilm’s Star Wars (in the pages of Star Wars Tales and contributions to Star Wars: The Essential Atlas); Decipher’s WARS (in the form of two novellas, including Healers and Hunters, which effectively relaunched the dormant franchise in 2010); and most recently James Wylder’s 10,000 Dawns (in 2018’s Poor Man’s Iliad).
His non-fiction work has been primarily focused on the Star Wars franchise. His primary work on the subject is A Saga on Home Video: A Fan’s Guide to U.S. Star Wars Home Video Releases. He has also contributed essays to Sequart’s trilogy of works on the subject (A Long Time Ago; A Galaxy Far, Far Away; and A More Civilized Age) and artciles for G.T. Carlton’s Star Wars Super Collector’s Wish Book (4th Ed.) and Movie Magic magazine.
By day, he is a professional social studies (econoimcs, history, etc.) educator, having taught for over twelve years in a traditioanl high school classrom before becoming the first full-time social studies educator for his county’s innovative online program, where he has (since Jan. 2015) led a growing social studies team, teaching students in grades six through twelve, both general education and Advanced Placement.
Originally from Evansville, IN, Butler now resides in the Atlanta metro area with his wife Jodi and their son Cade. (Yes, he was named after Cade Skywalker from Star Wars: Legacy. No, that shouldn’t be surprising to anyone at this point, should it?)
